Vegan Salad | Tofu and Spinach Salad

Hello everyone, how are we these days? Today I am going to share a salad dish with you. It is called “Tofu and Spinach Salad”. You only need tofu, spinach and some soy sauce. You can put it together in no time. It is a straightforward and quick salad dish. I hope you will like it. That’s got cooking!

Ingredients

1 block of firm Tofu, around 350g

2 big handfuls of baby spinach

1 bowl of iced water

1 tbsp Soy Sauce

1 pinch of sugar

Method

  1. Wrap the tofu in a kitchen towel and press out excess water with a heavy object. In the mixing bowl, break the tofu into the crumble, and set aside.
  2. Heat up a pot of boiled water, and parboil spinach for around 1 to 1 and a half minutes.
  3. Remove the spinach and transfer it into iced water. Set aside for 3 minutes.
  4. Remove any excess water from the spinach. Roughly chop the spinach and transfer it into a mixing bowl.
  5. Knead the tofu and spinach, mix well, add soy sauce, sugar to taste and serve on a plate.
  6. Enjoy it !!

Note for Tofu and Spinach Salad

  1. For soy sauce, I prefer to use dark soy sauce for colour or any soy sauce you like.
  2. Firm tofu or silken tofu is more welcome to use.
  3. Make sure don’t overcook the spinach.
