Hello, how’s everyone doing? I hope you are all doing well. Today, we are going to cook vegan chicken with orange juice. It may sound strange, but it offers a combination of sweetness and tanginess. For a healthy option, you can squeeze your own oranges for the juice. The main ingredients are tofu and orange juice and that’s get cooking!!
Ingredient
- 200g firm tofu (pressed and tear into chunks)
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 bunch of broccolini
- 1/2 carrot (cut long strips)
- 1/2 red capsicum (cut long strips)
- 200g Cabbage (tear into bite size)
- seasonally with salt, pepper
Orange Sauce
- 1/2 cup (125ml) orange juice
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 4 tbsp rice syrup
- 1 tsp dry chilli (optional)
- 2 tbsp starch + 3 Tbsp water
For Crispy tofu
- Get the bowl, mix with tofu and cornstarch and bake at 200c for around 15 minutes or until lightly brown.

Method
- Heat up fry pan on medium heat along with olive oil, then sautéed carrot, capsicum and broccolini until soft. Then throw in the cabbage and cook until soft.
- Pour in the sauce and tofu into the pan, and cook it for 5 minutes on medium-high heat. Stir until thickened.
- I serve it with rice
- Enjoy it!!!
Note
- You can fry the tofu in a non-stick pan on medium-high heat. If you have only one non-stick pan and time pressure, the air-fry is a good choice.
