Why be a Vegan

I’ve been a vegetarian for over 12 years since learning male chickens are less valued than females. Why do we primarily keep female chickens? It’s because they have the ability to lay eggs, while male chickens don’t have much use in that regard. The male chicks are disposed of in a grinder upon hatching as they are considered useless. I was shocked by that.

After that moment, I made the decision to switch to a vegan diet. Many people adopt a vegan diet for health reasons, but I chose to become vegan to support animal welfare. After some experimentation, I realised that my morning routine was lacking in protein and energy, which was affecting my day. I discovered that incorporating eggs into my diet was the solution. However, I also found that there are many egg substitutes available that are just as nutritious, including tofu, avocado, beans, and flaxseed. It’s important to note that many fruits and vegetables also contain small amounts of protein, so animal protein is not a necessity for a healthy diet. As we live in a time of advanced information, it’s easy to find natural and healthy sources of protein.

I was surprised when I ate Vegan dishes cooked by Andy for the first time. I didn’t expect vegetarian dishes to be so delicious, especially the pumpkin risotto. I will be very happy to book the table again.

Excellent food! Menu is delicate and seasonal to a particularly high standard. Definitely a good experience. It can be expensive but worth it because the menu are not only vegan but personalized for you and your guests. Highly recommended!
